The DPM MRS for Shadow Systems MR920 Elite 9mm Open Version replaces the original factory guide rod/spring system and produces an advanced recoil reduction by absorbing the shock gradually and slowing the slide down before its impact with the frame of the pistol. Because the system is an interior modification of your pistol it will not change the external dimensions of the handgun, therefore there is no for a new holster, sights or any other accessory you own.

Shadow Systems MR920 Elite 9mm Open Version Recoil Spring Assembly Instructions

The Shadow Systems MR920 Elite 9mm Open Version   recoil spring system works due to its multi spring rod design (three springs) by producing an advanced recoil reduction technique by gradually slowing the slide down before impacting the frame of the pistol using Spring No. 1 (see fig. below) and Spring No. 2. The third spring (Spring No. 3) which is contained within the rod itself controls the movement of the slide so it never rams on the frame.

This DPM System works with 3 different buffer recoil springs which each one offers different spring force (Forces are listed at the end of the description).

The kit includes 3 different in length external springs, 3 buffer springs and 1 self-lock spring plug.

The installation of the New Version remains the same as the older one, the user has to assemble the mechanism and select the combination of his/hers choice.

IMPORTANT:

The Self-lock spring plug must always be installed when the DPM kit is used. 

Power Rates

Slide on the battery (idle position)

• External Spring 1: 3.7 kgs / 8 lbs
• External Spring 2 : 4 kgs / 9 lbs
• External Spring 3: 4.4 kgs / 10 lbs

Slide full open position 

• Buffer Spring 1: 8 kgs / 17 lbs (approx.)
• Buffer Spring 2: 9 kgs / 20 lbs (approx.)
• Buffer Spring 3:  10 kgs / 22 lbs (approx.) 

For super soft ammo, comps and similar modifications, the user must not install any buffer spring.

In this case the system will offer in full open position 5.5 kgs / 12 lbs total power.
