The Beretta APX Compact – Centurion 3.7″ & Centurion Combat 4.2″ (Threaded) Telescopic System Recoil Reduction Spring Rod by DPM Systems replaces the original factory guide rod/spring system and produces an advanced recoil reduction by absorbing the shock gradually and slowing the slide down before its impact with the frame of the pistol. Because the system is an interior modification of your pistol it will not change the external dimensions of the handgun, therefore there is no for a new holster, sights or any other accessory you own.

The unique U.S patented DPM Telescopic Recoil System is a high-end tech multi-spring system, it is a direct after market replacement for the factory (OEM) recoil rod and does not require any modification to the pistol. The DPM APX Compact – Centurion 3.7″ & Centurion Combat 4.2″ recoil spring system works due to its multi spring rod design (three springs) by producing an advanced recoil reduction technique by gradually slowing the slide down before impacting the frame of the pistol using Spring No. 1 (see fig. below) and Spring No. 2. The third spring (Spring No. 3) which is contained within the rod itself controls the movement of the slide so it never rams on the frame.

Power Rates
This DPM TRRS for specific Beretta APX model the external springs are designed to offer also buffer ability.

Slide idle position (on the battery):
Silver 1.3mm spring wire diameter (Short-Heavy): 4.6 kgs/ 10 lbs
Gold 1.25mm spring wire diameter (Long-Soft): 4.6 kgs/ 10 lbs

Slide full open position:
Silver 1.3mm spring wire diameter (Short-Heavy): 8.9 kgs/ 19.6 lbs
Gold 1.25mm spring wire diameter (Long-Soft): 7.4 kgs/ 16.3 lbs

* The difference uppon the power rates is that the long spring is offering smoother buffer as it is thinner than the silver one.
