HOW SHOULD A PLATE CARRIER FIT?

That red zone in the graphic below is where you want to position your armor plate – right over the vital organs. If a bullet finds its way into any of those, there’s no chance of survival. You want two fingers’ width between the front plate pocket and your collarbone to achieve this.
The plate also needs to fit comfortably, letting you move your arms free to get into a shooting stance, grab gear, and pull out your sidearm (if you’re using one) without a hitch.
